Party Charlie Dazzles the Crown Jewels & SHARE Ladies Plan Boomtown Show
The Crown Jewels is a social club, founded 14 years ago, comprised of 50 women, who select their own “Royal” titles, and meet four times a year for fun & frolic. These ladies are very philanthropic and engaged in many charities, and the Crown Jewels encourages them to “let their hair down’ and enjoy life to the fullest.
Once a year, they present their Royal Purple Luncheon at Spago, where guests are invited, and among their speakers in the past include Leeza Gibbons, Jackie Kallen (the First lady of Boxing) Broadway Producer and Author, Sharleen Cooper Cohen, and, of course, Barbara Lazaroff, Co-Owner of Spago.
This year, Charlie Scola, aka Party Charlie, Caterer, Actor, Author and Columnist was their honored guest, and he shared his Party Planning Secrets (from his book of the same name) to the more than 80 purple clad socialites.
They included the Board of the Crown Jewels, President, Gail Dauer, Vice President & Social Director, Marci Weiner, Treasurer, Marlene Ridgley, Secretary, Eleanor Moscatel, Annie Lehrer, and Grace Scherrer.
Some of the other prestigious members included Beverly Cohen (owner of the Four Seasons Hotel), Producer, Loreen Arbus, Grace Robbins Barnes (former wife of Harold Robbins) and Shelly Sterling (wife of Clipper’s owner, Don Sterling).
The ladies enjoyed decorating champagne glasses and participating in a raffle where many of them received bottles of fine wine, as well as Charlie’s Ultimate Guide to a Successful Party. A perfect audience for a perfect speaker indeed.
